MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to manage their Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens. It also functions as a bridge to access decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ethereum blockchain. Below are steps on how to install and use the MetaMask Chrome extension.
Go to Chrome Web Store: Search for "MetaMask" in the Chrome Web Store.
Add to Chrome: Find the MetaMask extension and click on "Add to Chrome" followed by "Add Extension".
Setup Wallet: Once installed, follow the prompts to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Accessing Your Wallet: Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser extensions area to open your wallet.
Sending Transactions: Navigate to the "Send" tab, enter the recipient's address, amount, and click "Next" to confirm the transaction.
Connecting to dApps: Visit the dApp, and when prompted, click "Connect" on the MetaMask popup to interact with the dApp.
Remember to never share your seed phrase with anyone and always back it up safely.
